A Marker

A man with a focused expression uses a computer, his hand gripping the mouse, while the screen remains off-camera.

AMarker is a multifunctional program that allows you to manage your applications on your Windows 98, Me/2000, and XP platforms while protecting against unintended interference.

By drawing colored transparencies and defining specific areas on your screen with AMarker, you can make unique desktop launchers. You have the ability to assign an action for mouse clicks on each of these areas so that you can easily click and open files or even an application. This makes your desktop a living workspace by having customized interactive elements in place of traditional icons.

AMarker’s screen menu provides fast access to some desktop shortcuts, safe links, and applications. It enables you to design a good-looking program launcher that is different from the ordinary icon grid. The only limitations are the arrangement as well as appearance of menu items; this means endless ways in which you can alter your working area.

In addition, AMarker comes with a Stamp or Seal function, which allows one to protect desktop folders and streamline accessibility to key programs, wallpapers, screensavers, or documents. With just one click, you can launch an application, shut down a computer system, or open any frequently used document.

Besides being able to drag-and-drop the objects wherever they fit best into the screen menu, AMarker also has “preview” capability. Its simple interface ensures ease of use by enabling one to monitor mouse activity, keyboard entries, or even record and play sound messages.

AMarker is also very useful for families because it restricts the launch of programs outside predefined areas, preventing children from accidentally deleting or modifying important files. All in all, AMarker is a great tool for improving security and increasing performance at workstations.
